Hi Friend,

Remember the “not invented here” philosophy, where companies would eschew solutions that did not originate within their four walls? With every company becoming a technology company, that approach must go the way of the dinasours.

“I am pushing on my organization to take an external lens and am rewarding those activities that bring in insights from the outside,” says Jim Swanson, CIO of Monsanto, the $15.8 billion agriculture company. “There is a lot of innovation going on in the world. Read all about how Monsanto IT is helping farmers unlock “digital yield” in my latest blog on CIO.com.

Heller Search was recently retained to recruit a Business Relationship Executive for DTE Energy, a Fortune 500 electric utility serving millions of gas and electric customers in Southeastern Michigan. For this role, we identified Gunju Oyeleye, who will manage a team of more than 100 and report directly to the CIO. Gunju brings over 20 years of experience in IT strategy, planning and program management to DTE. Most recently, he led IT Enterprise Program Management efforts at Delphi Inc.
